node merging/deleting in input file

All,

Any idea how to merge/delete nodes when writing an input file ??? In CAE you can merge the coincident nodes but that is before the input file is even written. I could not find any *MERGE or *DELETE options in the Reference manual. I end up with 4 coincident nodes at at least two corners during a painstaking node numbering process.

Thanks,

You can leave them alone and use *MPC,TIE
alternately manually delete them and fix the element definitions that
reference the deleted nodes.

Either way you need to take care with boundary conditions, but for just a
handful of nodes its not too bad.
