I typically mesh first then apply loads. Part of the reasoning is with the amount of partitioning I do sometimes to brick mesh, it can affect the set that Iâve chosen to apply a load or boundary condition. Of course, sometimes I end up re-meshing because I end up needing to partition a face to apply a boundary condition, load, or interaction after Iâve meshed the part as well.

Subject: Re: [Abaqus] mesh and load
Hi Sanaa,
If I got ur question right is that meshing is related with load assignment or not? From what I know , mesh has nothing to do with assigning load. You either mesh the part or mesh the instance. Preferable to do the meshing for each part separately.

Diana.
